Honesty is Always the Best Policy

Sometimes the truth hurts. But wouldn't you rather know the truth instead of a lie? Honesty is the best policy because most people like people who are honest, honesty is one of the traits that make someone a good person, and most people rather you be honest instead of a liar.
Most people like people who are honest. Think for a second, what makes a good friend? Someone who is trustworthy, funny, kind, and HONEST. If your an honest person, people will more likely want to be your friend, rather than if your a liar. Most people want friends who are honest.
Honesty is one of the traits that make someone a good person. It takes a lot to be completly honest with someone. Sometimes it's hard to tell the truth because your afraid it might hurt their feelings. But in the end being honest will benefit you more than a lie would. Not only does being honest benefit yourself, it also can benefit your peers.
Most people rather you be honest instead of a liar. Being honest doesnt mean you have to be a brat about what you say to people. You can be honest, but say it in a nice way. Honesty is all about word choice. For example, pretend your best friend asks you, "Do you like this shirt?" In your head your thinking  it's the ugliest shirt you've ever seen. You don't want to be rude, but you also want to tell your friend the truth. You could say something like, "Well I like it, but its just not my favorite." By using good word choice, your still being honest, but your not being rude.
These are all the reasons why honesty is the best policy. Most likely you will have more friends if your an honest person. Honesty benefits everyone. You can be a good friend, and be honest. Honesty is always the best policy because most people like people who are honest, honesty is one of the traits that make someone a good person, and most people rather you be honest instead of a liar. ;)
